The short version

The calculators run entirely in your browser โ€” the numbers you type never leave your device. We don't require accounts, we don't sell data, and the only personal information we ever hold is what you give us if you choose to sign in and leave a comment.

What we collect

Calculator use: nothing personal. Your inputs (volts, amps, wire sizes) are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers. Your country choice (US/Canada) is stored only on your own device.

Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic (pages visited, general region, device type). This is standard aggregate analytics; we don't use it to identify you.

Comments (optional): if you sign in with Google or Facebook to leave a comment, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider. We store your comment, your chosen display name (you can pick a shortened name or "Anonymous"), and โ€” only if you allow it โ€” your profile photo. We never post anything to your Google or Facebook account.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. We don't send marketing email. We don't track you across other websites.

Data deletion

Want your comments, sign-in record, or all data about you deleted? Email [email protected] from the address you signed in with (or including your commenter name) and we'll delete it within 30 days. You can also delete or edit your own comments directly on the comments page while signed in.

Cookies

The calculators themselves set no cookies. If you sign in to comment, a session cookie keeps you signed in. Google Analytics sets its standard analytics cookies.

Who we are

VoltDrop (voltdrop.app) is operated in the United States. Questions: [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
